Restore Youthful Volume and Fullness While Smoothing Lines and Wrinkles.

$650 per syringe

Most of us eventually lose that youthful plump look in our faces as we age due to the natural reduction of subcutaneous fat over time. The results are most often the formation of lines, wrinkles, and moderate sagging. If you’re ready to address the effects of time in Northern Kentucky or the Cincinnati area but aren’t yet ready to undergo surgery, then dermal fillers may be a wonderful option for you. Fillers are a versatile, effective treatment that can replenish lost volume and beautifully contour the features of your face to regain that smoother, younger-looking appearance you’ve been missing.

How do dermal fillers work?

They don’t call them fillers for nothing. Dermal fillers work by literally filling in the skin where lines and wrinkles have formed, effectively smoothing them out. They’re also great for contouring the features of the face.

There’s a variety of fillers available on the market, though the majority of them contain hyaluronic acid as their primary ingredient. Hyaluronic acid (or HA) is a naturally occurring substance in the body that diminishes with age. The magic behind HA is its uncanny ability to hold a lot more than its own weight in water. This adds both fullness and hydration when injected into the skin, producing the smooth, supple appearance many of us long for. As an added bonus, this wonder acid also helps boost collagen production, which aids in providing more long-term results.

Other fillers available on the market contain calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), a mineral-like compound that’s found naturally in your bones. CaHA is biosynthetically produced, meaning no animal products are used. That often means a lower risk for allergic reaction and side effects. Fillers containing CaHA are also known to produce very natural-looking results.

Who is a good candidate for treatment with fillers?

Those who wish to restore lost volume, diminish unsightly lines and wrinkles, and contour their facial features for better overall balancing may be great candidates for treatment with dermal fillers. While fillers are often a great way to achieve facial rejuvenation for people of varying ages and skin types, people experiencing more advanced signs of aging and skin laxity may best be served with more invasive treatment options. We’ll go over all your available options at your consultation to best meet your personal goals.

Do fillers require any downtime?

Most people who get filler injections resume their normal activities as soon as treatment is done. We do recommend, however, that you avoid any strenuous physical activity for the first 24-48 hours. That’s to help minimize any swelling or bruising, which are potential side effects of injections. In most cases, any swelling or bruising can be alleviated by applying ice to the treatment area periodically. We’ll discuss everything you can expect so there are no surprises.

What kind of results can I expect from dermal fillers?

Though most people see some improvement in the treatment area right away, it often takes a few days following injections for the full skin-smoothing effects to show. Remember, you may experience some slight swelling, bruising, or redness at the injection sites, but these are generally mild and resolve in a few days.

The skin-improving effects of fillers are temporary, so treatment must be repeated periodically to maintain best results. Depending on the type of filler you choose, where it’s injected, and your own body chemistry, fillers can last anywhere from 6-12 months.
